Dance is not an art you do alone. Dancers must work together as a team.
Discipline, focus, cooperation, and responsibility not only to yourself but to your classmates... these are all attributes we learn from dance. Try your best not only for yourself but for your teammates!
Children move naturally. They move to acheive mobility, they move to express a thought or feeling. They move because it is joyful and feels wonderful. Dance embodies one of our most primal relationships with the universe. It is pre-verbal beginning before words can be formed. Dance helps children develope literacy. Learning languages and learning dance are not separate threads, but are woven together and incorporated into a fabric of communication and understanding. Dance is a natural method for learning and intergrates kinesthetic learning with understanding. Ultimately, learning the art of dance helps young children develope knowledge, skill, and understadning about the world.
